Octagonal in shape and dating back to the thirteenth century, the tower was built by Federico II of Svevia who made it their summer residence. It extends over three floors with vaulted ceilings and arched windows. Inside there are two large rooms on the ground floor and a first floor one connected by a spiral staircase that leads to the top.
